It earned style points in victories over LSU, Kentucky, and Chattanooga, but are more needed to help Alabama football get into the College Football Playoff?
Some feel that a victory over No. 1 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game should be all it takes; however, others want to see the Crimson Tide annihilate Auburn in the Iron Bowl. The Tigers are not an elite team this season, and people feel the Crimson Tide should handle it without problems.

Records are thrown out the window for rivalry games, but the CFP Committee would like to see the Tide run over Auburn and leave no doubt that it’s one of the top four teams in the nation.
Alabama needs a lights out performance against the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium. A blow out win over Auburn and a victory over Georgia next week needs to be all necessary to put the Tide in the playoff.
Alabama cannot afford self-inflicted mistakes to give the crowd at Auburn hope. In its four losses at Jordan-Hare under Nick Saban, Alabama made costly mistakes. It has to be on a mission in Saturday’s game.
If the Tide can land a victory by 17+ points against Auburn, it would be enough to have the Committee think more about Alabama.
