Former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron will be taking on a bigger role for the Cincinnati Bengals moving forward.
It was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Benglas have signed McCarron to the active roster and will be the team’s second quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bengals officially placed Joe Burrow on injured reserve and elevated QB AJ McCarron from the practice squad to the active roster for tomorrow’s game against Pittsburgh.

Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow was moved to the injured reserve as he suffered a season-ending injury against the Baltimore Ravens.
McCarron was signed to the Bengals’ practice squad back in September and will now serve as the backup to Jake Browning.
