Alabama head coach Nick Saban gave the latest update on the health of starting running back Jase McClellan on Thursday. Saban shared that McClellan hasn’t been able to participate much at practice so far, leaving his status up in the air for Saturday’s SEC Championship matchup against Georgia.
“He’s not been able to do a lot,” Saban said. “So we’ll see how he does today, where he is and I’d say that we’d have to say he’s probably questionable for the game at this point, but I think it’s probably too early to tell.”
McClellan was seen leaving last Saturday’s win over Auburn using crutches as Saban reported that he had re-aggravated a foot injury.
This season McClellan has been the Crimson Tide’s leading rushed with 803 yards and six touchdowns.
