Nick Saban, Greg Sankey, and this Fox Sports analyst do not see a College Football Playoff without a 1-loss SEC Champion.

Saban said it is ‘disrespect’ for the Southeastern Conference to not be in the final four of the CFP, even if it is a one-loss Crimson Tide team. Sankey, the SEC’s Commissioner, assured ESPN’s Heather Dinich his conference will have representation in the playoff. Joel Klatt, a college football analyst for Fox Sports, says he does not see a scenario of a 1-loss SEC Champion not making the playoff. He has Alabama in the final four if it handles business on Saturday against Georgia.

“I firmly believe that there is no way the SEC Champ does not go,” Klatt said about Alabama’s chances at the CFP if it beats Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. “Alabama is in for that scenario. A one-loss SEC Champ? Come on. They would be undefeated through an SEC season and an SEC Championship Game, end the nation’s longest winning streak, and beat the two-time defending national champions … Alabama is going to the playoff.”

Klatt continues his statement by adding if Alabama goes to the CFP then Texas is in as well.

It will be interesting to see what happens, but Klatt has the Tide in the final four if it defeats the Bulldogs.
