Following Alabama’s 27-24 win over Georgia in the SEC Championship, head coach Nick Saban provided an injury update on defensive back Kool-Aid McKinstry.
McKinstry left the game in the third quarter of play and after spending time in the medical tent, he would leave to the locker room. During the fourth quarter, McKinstry would be seen on the sidelines in street clothes.
Saban shared that McKinstry suffered a concussion and would be evaluated in the days to come to determine the severity.
Nick Saban said Kool-Aid McKinstry suffered a concussion and the team will figure out the severity later on.

Replacing McKinstry in the game was senior Trey Amos who recorded two pass breakups as he stepped up when called upon.
