Alabama’s hopes were answered on selection Sunday as it was one of the four teams selected to compete in the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide was able to leap past Florida State following its 27-24 win over No. 1 Georgia in the SEC Championship. Its win over the Bulldogs gave Nick Saban’s squad four ranked wins inside the top 15 making its resume overwhelming for the committee.
The four teams competing in the College Football Playoff are listed below:
- Michigan
- Washington
- Texas
- Alabama
