Alabama football’s outside linebacker, Dallas Turner was named the 2023 SEC Defensive Player of the Year Wednesday.
Turner currently has 50 total tackles, including 14.5 tackles for loss. He has sacked opposing quarterbacks ten times this season.

An Alabama player has now earned the SEC Defensive Player of the Year for four consecutive years with Turner taking home the award this year. Patrick Surtain started the streak in 2020. Will Anderson continued the streak by earning the award in 2021 and 2022.
Turner will look to continue his dominance on the field in the College Football Playoff for the Crimson Tide.
