Jones attends Bay City High School in Texas, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. He holds more than 25 offers, including recent offers from Alabama, Ohio State and USC. The senior feels his recent offer from the Crimson Tide is special.
“It means a lot,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s my first SEC and from the top of the pyramid. It’s the biggest stage in college football.”
Jones’ offer comes from the Tide’s current outside linebacker coach Coleman Hutzler. The offer came as a result of watching his film.
“I play with a lot of intensity,” Jones said. “They loved my film.”
Ohio State and USC are looking to get Jones on campus in the upcoming weeks.
The four-star is interested in getting to Tuscaloosa as well.
“I have two visits set up the next two weeks, but I definitely plan to visit Bama,” said Jones.
At 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds, Jones has a quick first step and gets after the football with strength and power. He also shows an ability to use his hands to get around offensive linemen.
