Alabama football was not represented on the first-team All-America list for the Walter Camp Football Foundation, but the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) does have at least one Crimson Tide player on its first team.
The FWAA announced on Monday that Dallas Turner made first team on defense.

A talented outside linebacker, Turner leads Alabama defense for sacks (nine), tackles for loss (13.5), and quarterback pressures (13). He also has two forced fumbles and a pass breakup. Turner is one of three permanent team captains for the Tide voted on by his peers. The South Florida native helped Alabama capture a Southeastern Conference Championship over Georgia and has it back in the College Football Playoff. Turner has a chance to win a CFP National Championship and become a first-round draft pick.
JC Latham, a junior offensive tackle, made second team for the Tide.
The 6-foot-6, 360-pounder has 41 knockdown blocks in 813 snaps this season, averaging 3.2 per game.
He allowed just two sacks in 408 pass sets in 13 games as a right tackle. Latham protected sophomore quarterback Jalen Milroe to have 35 total touchdowns to six interceptions. He has also cleared the way for Alabama’s rushing attack to have success in the latter portion of the season. Latham anchored the Crimson Tide’s offensive attack against the Bulldogs in the SEC title game. He and Alabama’s offensive front bullied Georgia’s defensive line, allowing the Tide to control the matchup. Latham is prepared to wear down Michigan’s front in the Rose Bowl and help Alabama get to the CFP National Championship.
