The esteemed ESPN analyst is sick of the Florida State fans complaining about how they should have gotten in, and how they were snubbed for Texas and Alabama. Herbstreit cut it real with a fan on social media who asked him why he had a one-loss Alabama ahead of Florida State before Jordan Travis got hurt. Herbstreit let loose with his response as he sees a few teams, Alabama and Texas in particular, who are better than the Seminoles for the playoff. He even brought up how FSU got into the 2001 BCS National Championship Game (2000 season) over a University of Miami team that beat them in the regular season and was much better than them. Herbstreit wishes nothing but the best for the ‘Noles, but he is not here for a pity party for them.

Herbstreit will join Chris Fowler in calling the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day between Alabama and Michigan.

Florida State is scheduled to battle Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
