The Crimson Tide has officially landed the signature of four-star defensive back, Jameer Grimsley.
Grimsley is a product of Tampa Catholic and Tampa, Florida. He garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites at the moment.
The senior decided to sign with Alabama over Florida and others.
“It was just the consistency in the program, the culture,” Grimsley told Touchdown Alabama in July when he committed to Alabama. “Everyone is focused on the same goal. It’s like Alabama is the standard and anything less than a national championship is not up to par for them. They consistently put players in the league and produce many first rounders. That’s what separates them for me, and it’s something I want to be a part of.”
Standing at approximately 6-foot-3 with a lengthy wingspan, the sunshine-state native has potential. Grimsley has a knack for the ball which is due to the amount of time he has spent on the offensive side of the ball. The elite DB has good ball skills and the ability to make plays on the ball with his instincts and natural length.
