Bryce Young produced best game of rookie season versus Packers

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young rolls out of the pocket

He has had some growing pains as a rookie, but Bryce Young is starting to get comfortable in Carolina.

The former Alabama quarterback was selected No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Young looked like the playmaker he was with the Crimson Tide in Sunday’s matchup versus Green Bay. He turned in a season-high 312 passing yards, marking the first 300+ yard performance of his career. Young made several marquee passes, including two for touchdowns. Carolina suffered a 30-33 loss, but Young looked the best he’s been all season.

The Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich, so Carolina is going to need to get a young offensive minded coach. Carolina also needs help on its offensive line and at wide receiver in the NFL Draft.

If it can surround Young with talent, the California native will flourish with the Panthers.

His performance versus the Packers was something promising moving forward.
