Alabama players changed film-watching routine amid Michigan sign-stealing scandal

Alabama football players had to change the way they watched film ahead of playing Michigan amid their sign-stealing scandal.

The Crimson Tide’s wide receiver, Isaiah Bond discussed what he knew of the scandal Thursday during the Rose Bowl media day.

“I heard about it,” Bond said. “I really ain’t paid too much attention to it. Obviously, that’s in the past. The Catapult system I guess they were taking signs from, they made it down anyways because of that.”

Bond went on to explain the Catapult system and the changes the Tide players had to make ahead of playing Michigan.

“It’s basically like the app we record, like film on for practice and stuff like that,” said Bond. “And they was like I guess looking at other people’s play calls and their hand signals, like the first eight games or something like that…We was able to watch film with the team, but like personally, we can’t watch film because I don’t know, some reason with the Michigan stealing signs.”

Alabama is currently preparing to play Michigan in the College Football Playoff Semifinal in the Rose Bowl.
