Nick Saban added a talented name from the NCAA transfer portal to Alabama’s defensive back room.
On Thursday, Domani Jackson committed to the University of Alabama.

He is a former five-star prospect from the 2022 recruiting cycle. Jackson, an alumnus of Mater Dei High School, was pursued by Alabama but chose the University of Southern California as his school. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback entered the transfer portal on Dec. 19 and attended the Crimson Tide’s Rose Bowl prep for Michigan. Jackson and Coach Saban shared an interaction on the field as Alabama is in the College Football Playoff for an eighth time since 2014. Jackson collected 33 tackles and three pass breakups this season for the Trojans.
Alabama and Michigan were the top two programs vying for him in the portal, but a former Tide linebacker wanted Jackson for the Southeastern Conference.
Ryan Anderson put his request in for Jackson on X.

The two-time CFP National Champion (2012, 2015) and elite edge rusher told Su’a Cravens (a former USC standout) to send Jackson down south. Anderson got his wish as Jackson committed to the Crimson Tide and joins a stacked secondary.
We will see how he fits in the defensive back room, especially when competition starts in spring practice.
