This season’s Alabama team, like many in the past, has rallied around the rat poison from the outside to fuel its run to the College Football Playoff.

But this year’s rat poison in particular was extremely useful according to head coach Nick Saban who compared all the criticism and noise to the eating Wheaties.

“Well we had some really good rat poison early,” Saban said. “It was almost like Wheaties because everybody criticized us and said we weren’t any good and we were done and Coach Saban is past his prime and all that. It was like eating Wheaties, breakfast of champions. That helped us. So now can we handle success, that’s the next question.”

Since dropping its Week 2 game against Texas, along with its struggles against USF, the Crimson Tide has rebounded in a big way, uniting around its rallying cry LANK.

To this point, Alabama has certainly “Let All Naysayers Know” but it will now look to take one step closer to its ultimate goal on Monday as it kicks off against Michigan on Monday at 4 p.m. C.T. on ESPN.
