The University of Alabama football team finished with 10+ wins in a season for a 16th time under Nick Saban.

Alabama did not finish with a College Football Playoff National Championship, but it returned to the CFP after missing out on it during the 2022 season. The Crimson Tide went 12-2 in 2023 with its loses coming against Texas and Michigan (Rose Bowl).

Some have considered this season as Saban’s coaching job.

Alabama was written off after losing to Texas, but it persevered to a Southeastern Conference Championship and CFP appearance. Dallas Turner, a junior linebacker, became a Consensus All-American and sophomore quarterback Jalen Milroe made marquee growth as a complete player. Saban is a finalist for the George Munger Coach of the Year Award, per the Maxwell Football Club. He earned the honor in 2016, following a season where he guided the Tide to an SEC Championship and CFP appearance with Jalen Hurts as the starting quarterback. Three years have now gone by without a national title for Alabama.

Saban must return to the drawing board to reclaim Alabama’s dominance.
