Alabama tight end Miles Kitselman became the second player to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday following its loss to Michigan in the College Football Playoff.
“I want to thank coach Saban and coach (Joe) Cox for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime,” Kitselman said in a statement on social media. “I will forever be grateful for my time at the University of Alabama. After talking with family and close friends, I have decided to enter into the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility remaining.”

Kitselman joined the Crimson Tide back in 2022 after one season at Hutchingson Community College. In his two seasons at Alabama Kitselman appeared in 19 games and recorded two receptions for 18 yards, both of which came in 2022.
This past season Kitselman primarily served a role on special teams in all 13 games of Alabama’s season.
Wide receiver Shazz Preston also entered the transfer portal this week as members of the Crimson Tide will have until Saturday to make decisions on their futures as playoff participants get an extended window upon the conclusion of their seasons.
