Alabama linebacker Trezmen Marshall became the latest player to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft on Friday.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to do what I love and for building me into the person I have become, both on and off the field,” Marshall said in a statement on social media.
“To my friends, family and teammates, thank you for supporting and loving me. You have been the village and support system that I needed throughout my journey.
“To the best fans in the nation, thank you for making every Saturday this last year the best day of my life. Wearing the crimson and white was an honor, and I will always cherish the memories and moments from this season.
“To Coach Saban, thank you for trusting and believing in me, allowing me to be a part of something special. You helped me build my confidence and value in myself. Most importantly, you gave me the ultimate gift of seeing a smile on mom’s face as she watched me walk across the stage at graduation.
“I would also like to extend a special thanks to Coach Smart and Coach Schumann for providing me with opportunities to play and wisdom to grow throughout the time I spent in Athens.
“I have been lucky enough to play at two of the top programs in the country and have made memories at both places that I will never forget. My college journey may be ending, but I cannot wait to take the next step in my career and see what the NFL has in store for me.”
Marshall arrived at Alabama after playing his first four seasons at Georgia. In 2023 he was a key member of the middle of the Crimson Tide’s defense as he appeared in 13 games and recorded 56 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
