Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton announced on social media on Saturday that he will declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
“First I want to thank God for allowing me the opportunities that I have received and will receive in my life,” Burton said in his statement.
“To the University of Alabama, this has been an unforgettable experience and I appreciate how memorable you’ve all made this for me.
“To my coaches, thank you for putting your trust in me. A special thank you to Coach Wiggins, you’ve helped me grow so much as both a player and person and I’ll forever be grateful for that.
“To my teammates, this brotherhood is one that will carry with all of us throughout our lives and I know so many of you are destined for great things.
“Lastly, to my family, thank you for riding with me on this journey over the years and supporting me through every decision I’ve made.
“With that said, I’m excited to announce that I will be entering the 2024 NFL Draft.”
Burton arrived at Alabama in 2022 after spending his first two seasons at Georgia. He was an immediate contributor to the Crimson Tide’s passing attack and this past season was the top target for quarterback Jalen Milroe.
The Calabasas, Calif. native appeared in 13 games in 2023 recording 798 yards on 39 catches, eight touchdowns and averaged 20.5 yards per reception.
