He came as a preferred walk-on to the Crimson Tide in its 2020 signing class from Columbia, S.C.
Skehan attended Cardinal Newman High School before going to the University of Alabama as his collegiate school. The 6-foot-1, 232-pounder helped the Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020 while being on the practice squad. He has three Southeastern Conference Championship rings, including one from the 2023 season. Skehan played in two career games, including one this past season versus Chattanooga at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
He posted a video to social media of him excelling in Alabama practices.
Thank you to the University of Alabama for the best 4 years of my life. The memories and friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime and I am eternally grateful. With that being said, I have entered my name in the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility left. Roll Tide Forever pic.twitter.com/peq0EwrG6z
