Benson was the No. 1 JUCO player before joining the Crimson Tide this past season.
He was able to secure a starting spot on offense but didn’t quite see a heavy amount of production. In 14 games, Benson caught a total of 13 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown which came against Chattanooga back in November. He did not record a catch in either the SEC Championship or the College Football Playoff.
Benson is now the second former Alabama player to be taking his talents to the Seminoles as he joins defensive back Earl Little who announced his decision over the weekend.
Benson brings tremendous speed to the offense which couldn’t quite break through in Alabama’s offense this past season, but may see his production grow as he joins a Florida State offense that has also added former Oregon State and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei to the mix.
