As Nick Saban decided to walk away from the game of football one of his former assistants, Lane Kiffin, had the opportunity to celebrate the greatest ever on his last day on the job.
Kiffin shared a post on social media honoring Saban along with Pete Carroll who was another one of his mentors while at USC.
“The two (GOATS). So honored to have learned from them and won national championships with both,” Kiffin said. “Thanks for taking a chance on me and being amazing mentors to me. Appreciate you both more than you will ever know. Greatness we may never see again. Appreciate it fans.”
