Nick Saban spoke to ESPN after his retirement news was released on Wednesday.
Saban is retiring after 17 seasons and six National Championships with the Crimson Tide. Alabama has not named a replacement for him, but the legendary head coach is letting it be known he is going to have a ‘presence’ at the university during his retirement.
“There are a lot of things to clean up, to help as we move forward,” Saban told ESPN. “I’m still going to have a presence here at the university in some form and trying to figure out all that and how it works. This is a place that will never be too far away from Miss Terry’s and my hearts.”
Saban is reportedly interviewing coaches for Alabama at the moment.
