An interesting development is happening in Seattle, Wash.
Kalen DeBoer, a top head coaching candidate for the University of Alabama, was scheduled for an interview Friday with a Seattle radio station, but it has been canceled.
#Husky fans, we know you were looking forward to a visit with Coach DeBoer this morning.
Please understand that Coach DeBoer & UW Athletics are continuing to work towards a future we can all be excited about.

DeBoer, 49, has turned the University of Washington football program around in two seasons. The Huskies were 4-8 in 2021, but DeBoer has compiled a 25-3 record with them. He has produced back-to-back 11+ win seasons, including 14 victories and a Pac-12 Championship in 2023. DeBoer got Washington back into the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2016. So, what does the canceled radio interview mean? It could mean nothing as the network, 93.3 KJR, stated it would be rescheduled soon.

However, it could mean something more. It could mean DeBoer is really considering becoming the next Alabama head coach.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but DeBoer has been a winner at each stop of his career. Also, he is one of the best offensive minds in college football — serving as a wide receivers coach, quarterbacks coach, offensive coordinator, and head coach.
The game has trended to offense and DeBoer excels in it.
He took Michael Penix and made him a two-time 4,000-yard passer and a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2023. DeBoer had a 4,000-yard quarterback, a 1,000-yard running back (Dillon Johnson), and two 1,000-yard wide receivers (Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk) in 2023. His name has gain much traction since Wednesday as Nick Saban announced his retirement.
