Alabama football’s new head coach Kalen DeBoer is very open to help and assistance from Nick Saban.
DeBoer had his introductory press conference Saturday on the campus of the University of Alabama. He showed his respect for Saban and what he has built in Tuscaloosa during his opening statement. The new Alabama coach made it clear Saban was welcome to continue to be involved with the program.
“He’s the best in the business to ever do it,” DeBoer said. “I’m just going to make sure that’s all known thats how I feel. 100 percent access, okay to everything. I would be a fool if that wasn’t the case. I would be a fool. I’m going to ask him that he shows up and gives me at least one thing every day. I’m sure he’s going to have 10. I’m gonna be good with that. But at least one thing he sees that we can get better at.”
The DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa has officially started.
