Alabama football fans were shocked and disappointed last week when a marquee defensive assistant coach for the Crimson Tide took a co-defensive coordinator position at the University of Georgia.
Kalen DeBoer had his introductory press conference as Alabama’s new football head coach, but Kirby Smart snatched Travaris Robinson away from the program. DeBoer is bringing his offensive staff from Washington, but he’s retaining Freddie Roach and Robert Gillespie from the current Tide staff. Robert Bala had been an interesting of Georgia Tech as a defensive coordinator, but the California native still is with Alabama. Nothing has changed on his social media as he remains the inside linebackers coach for the Crimson Tide. Could the Tide potentially bring Robinson back in a more significant role? Close sources have confirmed to Touchdown Alabama Magazine that he is starting to rethink his process.
