Alabama fans see how Jahmyr Gibbs is performing in the National Football League as a rookie, and all they can do is blame two assistant coaches for the Crimson Tide: Bill O’Brien and Eric Wolford.
Gibbs put on a show in 2023 for the Detroit Lions, becoming the third rookie in franchise history to record 1,000 scrimmage yards.
He assisted the Lions to an NFC North Division title for the first time since 1993 and led it to a NFC Wild Card playoff victory on Sunday versus the Los Angeles Rams. Gibbs had a rushing touchdown on eight carries, pushing him to 11 rushing scores on the season. He also caught four passes for 43 receiving yards in Detroit’s 24-23 victory at home in Ford Field.

He brings diversity to the offense with his running and catching abilities. Gibbs is an instant threat to score no matter where he is on the field.
He helped the Crimson Tide make it to the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2022, earning a 45-20 victory over Kansas State.
Gibbs totaled 926 rushing yards, 444 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in one year at Alabama.
