Harris attends Mater Dei High School in California, and he is currently considered a four-star recruit by multiple recruiting sites. The 2025 recruit holds offers from more than 25 programs, including offers from Georgia, Michigan, Texas and others.
Alabama’s head football coach Kalen DeBoer and his former Washington staff offered Harris when they were in Seattle. The California product is quite familiar with the new Alabama head coach.
“I’m real familiar with Coach DeBoer,” Harris told Touchdown Alabama. “When he was originally with Washington, I was able to speak with him a couple of times. I love his coaching style. With him playing wide receiver back in his days, he loves to sling the rock, and I love that. Seeing what he was able to do with his wide receivers back at Washington is an eye opener.”
Harris has also watched Alabama from a distance and respects what their receivers have done in recent years.
“I’ve always watched Alabama growing up,” said Harris. “They’ve produced so many great players that are in the NFL now, especially wideouts. Alabama is one of those schools that will have you NFL-ready.”
The Mater Dei product is an explosive wide receiver at 6-foot and 180 pounds. He is an impressive route runner, who can create separation off the line of scrimmage, and he has the ability to go up and get the football. Haris feels he can do whatever is needed at wide receiver.
“I think I can do everything they need me to do,” said Harris. “I got speed, route running and I feel like I could go up with anybody in the nation and get the ball. I also feel like I have the skills to play slot or out wide.”
