A very talented linebacker for the University of Alabama appears to want to remain with the football program.
Jaquavious “Qua” Russaw, a former five-star in the 2023 recruiting class, came to the Crimson Tide from George Washington Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala. He and his high school teammate, James Smith, were a packaged deal.

Russaw was an explosive and instinctive defender in high school, but he’s looking forward to having an opportunity at Alabama.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pounder redshirted his freshman season, helping the Tide win a Southeastern Conference Championship and make the College Football Playoff last year. He shared Deontae Lawson’s DOA (death on arrival) message on his Instagram, signaling his decision to stay with the Crimson Tide. Russaw has a chance in spring practice to make a marquee impact.
Tide fans are excited to see what he will be able to do.
