WATCH: Social media star and Alabama fan aiding Crimson Tide to help get 5-star WR to recommit

Ryan Williams of Saraland (#1) scores a touchdown against Clay-Chalkville High School in the Class 6A State Championship Game in the 2023 season.

Ryan Williams would give Kalen DeBoer the validation as an Alabama head football coach that Julio Jones gave Nick Saban 16 years ago on the recruiting circuit.

Williams, a five-star wide receiver from Saraland (Ala.) High School, is the best player in the state of Alabama and arguably the best player in the nation. He reclassified to come out of high school a year early after nearly helping the Spartans win a Class 6A State Championship. Williams backed off his commitment to the Crimson Tide when Saban announced his retirement.

DeBoer is trying to get Williams back on board, and the Tide has a secret weapon helping it.

Williams is visiting the University of Alabama this weekend, and he hooked up with a social media sensation. Roll Tide Willie of Blitz Bama Blitz got a picture and video with Williams. Williams appeared to be very excited in the video, and Willie may get season tickets for life if he helps the Tide land Williams. DeBoer, Ryan Grubb, and Jamarcus Shepherd are bringing an offense from Washington that Williams would feast in. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward, but Williams is in Tuscaloosa. Hopefully, DeBoer will have a commitment from the talented wide out before the weekend is over.
