It lost Kadyn Proctor to Iowa via the NCAA transfer portal, but the University of Alabama has other names from its 2023 recruiting class on its offensive line that have committed to Kalen DeBoer.
Wilkin Formby and Olaus Alinen got the ball rolling, and Roq Montgomery has followed.
Montgomery, formerly known as Ryqueze McElderry, is a native of Anniston, Ala.
He arrived as a four-star prospect and was one of the most sought-after in-state lineman. The 6-foot-3, 332-pounder played in two games last season, so he enters the upcoming spring as a redshirt freshman.

It will be interesting to see where he fits into the rotation up front under new offensive line coach, Scott Huff.
