Former Alabama five-star recruit Julian Sayin is continuing his football journey up north for he has committed to Ohio State.
Sayin was amongst the top quarterbacks in the 2024 recruiting class and even enrolled early at Alabama and joined the team for bowl preparations ahead of the College Football Playoff. He had been committed to the team since November of 2022.
“Incredibly excited to join the team here at Ohio State,” Sayin said to ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Sunday. “I held this program in high regard throughout my entire recruiting process and am looking forward to learning from some of the most talented players and coaches in college football and contributing to our team’s success.”
But just like several other Crimson Tide players, Sayin entered the transfer portal shortly after the news of Nick Saban’s retirement from coaching and the introduction of new head coach Kalen DeBoer.
Sayin is now the third former Alabama player to transfer to the Buckeyes as he joins starting safety Caleb Downs and starting offensive lineman Seth McLaughlin.
