Mack, a California native, transfers in from the University of Washington. He enrolled a year early from Folsom High School, helping the Huskies win a Pac-12 Championship and advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
The 6-foot-6 specimen is ready to get to work with Kalen DeBoer, Ryan Grubb, and Alabama. In studying his high school tape, Mack possesses exceptional footwork, pocket awareness, anticipation, and ability to extend plays. He can make a variety of throws with timing and accuracy. His ability to climb the pocket, avoid pressure, and keep his focus downfield is something to behold.
Brock Huard, a former Washington quarterback, said Mack as a ‘massive upside.’
It will be fun to see how he fits in with the team when spring practice starts.
