Short attends Evan High School in Evans, Georgia, and he is considered a 2025 four-star recruit. The Georgia product is a former Alabama commitment, who backed off his decision after Nick Saban retired. He also holds offers from Georgia, Clemson and several others.
The Bulldogs are showing Short a lot of love at the moment as they hosted him recently. Kirby Smart also visited him earlier this month. Alabama’s new offensive line coach Scott Huff paid Short a visit on Friday.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder is a massive lineman, who lined up at left tackle as a junior for Evans. He is an agile lineman, who can execute multiple blocking assignments, including pulling, sealing and operates well in ass protection. Short can also block in space at the second level.
