The next class of collegiate athletes is preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
Pro teams, scouts, and national media pundits will gather again at Lucas Oil Stadium from Feb. 29 to March 3 for the annual Scouting Combine. Several players from the University of Alabama will receive invitation for the event, and one has already earned his. Jaylen Key, a former safety for the Crimson Tide, shared his invitation to his Instagram for the combine.
Key, who transferred in from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, helped Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a return to the College Football Playoff. A native Florida, Key missed some games because of injuries but finished the 2023 season with 60 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a pass breakup, and an interception.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder turned in solid production at the position, but it will be interesting to see where he lands in the draft.
