Former Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is confident Kalen DeBoer will do big things as the head coach of Alabama football.
Penix was the Huskies’ starting quarterback during their run at a National Championship under DeBoer last season. He finished the year as a Heisman Trophy finalist en route to leading Washington to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Unfortunately for Penix and DeBoer, the Huskies fell short.
The NFL Draft hopeful is confident DeBoer will be able to come out on the winning side of a title game in the future with the Crimson Tide.
According to 105.5 WNSP’s Mark Heim, Penix said Monday he believes Alabama will win a National Championship within DeBoer’s first three years in Tuscaloosa.
A big thanks to @UW_Football's Michael Penix Jr. for joining @1055wnsp during our @seniorbowl coverage.

The DeBoer era is underway in Tuscaloosa and spirits are high around the program due to recent recruiting momentum.
