Kalen DeBoer is creating a marquee impact on Alabama football is a short period of time.

He has assembled a coaching staff, keep core leaders on the team, and got a five-star wide receiver to recommit to the Crimson Tide since his introductory press conference as head coach on Jan. 13. DeBoer helped Alabama get Ryan Williams back on board with playing for the Tide as an electric playmaker. The product of Saraland (Ala.) High School is a two-time Mr. Alabama Award recipient. He is arguably the best wide receiver and player in the state of Alabama and the nation for the 2024 recruiting class.

Williams spoke highly of DeBoer on Tuesday as he received the “Mr. Alabama” Award.

He said he ‘would not want to play for any other coach aside from Nick Saban’ when it comes to DeBoer.

“Just talking to him, he’s [Kalen DeBoer] the most down to earth, humble coach I’ve ever talked to,” Williams said.

“I would not want to play for any other head coach other than Coach Saban.”

Coach DeBoer showed Alabama fans he can keep a highly touted in-state receiver at home.

It is going to be exciting to watch Williams dominate in a crimson and white uniform.
