Iowa is self-reporting an NCAA Level III violation regarding impermissible contact with former Alabama offensive lineman, Kadyn Proctor, according to the Athletic.
Proctor was a starter at left tackle for the Crimson Tide as a freshman during the 2023 football season. According to Scott Dochterman of The Athletic, an Iowa staffer sent a text message to Proctor when he was struggling earlier in the season. The text read, ‘hang in there, buddy.’
Iowa is in the process of self-reporting a Level III violation with regard to impermissible contact with Kadyn Proctor. It’s in regard to a text sent to Proctor, then at Alabama, last September after tough game in which an Iowa staffer wrote “hang in there, buddy” to Proctor.…

The Hawkeyes picked up Proctor out of the portal when he decided to transfer from Alabama after Nick Saban retired.
