4-Star WR Marcus Harris says recruitment is ‘shaken up’ after Alabama visit

Marcus Harris snagged his 30th college football offer from Alabama football during a visit to Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Harris attends Mater Dei High School, and he is one of California’s top junior wide receivers. He is listed as a four-star recruit across multiple recruiting sites. Some members of Alabama’s staff are fairly familiar with Harris as they recruited him while on Kalen DeBoer’s staff in Washington.

The 2025 recruit told Touchdown Alabama he enjoyed his first visit to Tuscaloosa and catching up with Alabama’s wide receiver coach.

“It was great,” Harris said. “I enjoyed it a lot. It was good to connect with the coaching staff again, especially with my guy coach (JaMarcus) Shephard.”

Harris feels his offer from the Crimson Tide has made some adjustments to his recruitment.

“They’ve really shaken up my recruitment,” Harris said. “They sit high.”

Getting an opportunity to see Alabama’s facilities was another highlight of Harris’ time in Tuscaloosa.

“Their facilities were for sure some of the best I have seen,” said Harris. “You really understand why players come out so ready.”

The Mater Dei product is an explosive wide receiver at 6-foot and 180 pounds. He is an impressive route runner, who can create separation off the line of scrimmage, and he has the ability to go up and get the football. Haris feels he can do whatever is needed at wide receiver.
