Pleasant Grove’s junior wide receiver, Clarence Taylor is continuing to see his recruitment grow with recent offers from Purdue and Middle Tennessee.
Taylor is going to be one of the state of Alabama’s top 2025 wide receiver prospects despite not having a rating from any major recruiting site at the moment. His offer list also currently includes offers from Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Arkansas State. The junior is thankful for the early opportunities he has earned.
“It’s a great feeling, but it’s definitely a blessing to have these sorts of opportunities,” Taylor said.
It was a breakout season for the Pleasant Grove star in 2023 when he pulled in 70 receptions for 1,621 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns. The 6-foot-1 wideout proved to be a difficult cover for most with his ability to create separation at the line of scrimmage out of his release, get more space at the top of his route and do damage with the ball in his hand.
“I think my quick release and my ball skills are my main strengths right now,” said Taylor. “I also am dangerous with the ball in my hands and feel I am consistent, gonna give it my all every gameday.”
Taylor’s offer list is expected to continue to grow with several opportunities for him to impress coaches in person on the horizon. There are currently multiple schools showing a special interest in him.
“Troy, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and Georgia tech for the most part,” said Taylor.
