A former Alabama linebacker has signed an NFL reserve/future contract with a NFC East program.
Terrell Lewis joins a host of University of Alabama alums for the Philadelphia Eagles.
He signed a future contract with the Eagles after coming to the team on Jan. 18. Lewis was released from the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 3, 2023. He bounced from the Chicago Bears to the Saints, but Lewis captured a Super Bowl ring during his three years (2020-22) with the Los Angeles Rams.

The 25-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Lewis, a native of Washington, D.C., arrived in the Crimson Tide’s 2016 class from St. John’s High School. He endured injuries in his collegiate career, but Lewis was an edge-rushing terror when healthy. He had a significant sack of Jake Fromm in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game (2017 season) against Georgia. Lewis’ effort forced the Bulldogs to settle for a field goal in overtime. Alabama got the ball and Tua Tagovailoa found DeVonta Smith for a game-winning touchdown.

Lewis exploded for six sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss, and a team-high 16 quarterback hurries in 2019. He joins Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Tyler Steen, Julio Jones, Josh Jobe, and Eli Ricks as the eighth former Alabama player with the Eagles.
