Isaiah Buggs will continue his professional career with a Super Bowl Champion.
He joined the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad on Jan. 4, two days after getting released from the Detroit Lions.

The Louisiana native helped the Chiefs capture a Vince Lombardi Trophy in Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas, Nev. Buggs became the latest University of Alabama alum from the Nick Saban era to earn a Super Bowl ring. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Buggs signed a reserve/future contract to remain with the Chiefs.

The deal was done on Tuesday as Buggs can continue to build in his new NFL home. He was a College Football Playoff National Champion for the Crimson Tide in 2017 and a Southeastern Conference Champion in 2018 before starting his pro career.
The 6-foot-3, 335-pounder is ready to be a star on the defensive line for Kansas City.
