Alabama football is scheduled to start spring practice on Monday, March 4.
Kalen DeBoer has finalized his coaching staff and brought in some players from the NCAA transfer portal. The Crimson Tide student-athletes are in the Fourth Quarter Program, and they are enjoying the energy from the new staff. Alabama fans are excited about the position battles that will occur in practice, but has a potential playmaker hinted at a position change before practice starts? Caleb Odom, a four-star tight end from Carrollton, Ga., made an alteration to his Instagram profile.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder changed his position from tight end to wide receiver.
He could be used a hybrid player in DeBoer’s offense, especially with the Tide having depth at tight end.
Alabama has CJ Dippre, Danny Lewis Jr., Robbie Ouzts, Ty Lockwood, and Jay Lindsey. Odom can afford to change his position to receiver with his size, explosiveness, and star potential. He has natural ball skills and elite athleticism in the passing game.
