Nick Saban always wanted to be part of a team during his coaching tenure.
He spent 17 years elevating the University of Alabama to be the gold standard of college football, but now the 72-year-old is full-time with his favorite team. In retirement, Saban is spending more time with his family and grandchildren. He is sharing his appreciation for golf with his grandson, James. Kristen Saban Setas, Saban’s daughter, shared a photo to her Instagram of her dad and son on a golf course together. Saban had his Crimson Tide straw hat on and James admired his grandfather’s shoes.

Setas captioned the photo with “Never would I have imagined that on a random Tuesday in the middle of the day, I get to hang out with my dad. Retirement is bliss.”

Saban is looking forward to seeing how Alabama football does with Kalen DeBoer, but he’s having fun in a new chapter of his life.
