With Eli Gold not returning to be Alabama football’s play-by-play announced, Alabama basketball’s Chris Stewart was the clear choice to take over the duties.
Stewart, who has been with the Crimson Tide Sports Network since 1998, shared his gratitude for all the well wishes from the Crimson Tide fans.

The university announced on Wednesday that Stewart would be stepping in for Gold with his tenure as the voice of Alabama football beginning with this year’s A-Day.
