Mitch Dahlen, who served as an offensive quality control coach for two seasons at Washington, comes to the University of Alabama under DeBoer as an offensive analyst. Dahlen updated his social media profile on X, formerly known as Twitter, to reflect his commitment to the Crimson Tide. He will work under the title of “Senior Offensive Analyst” and will help with quarterbacks.
Dahlen assisted the Huskies to a Pac-12 Championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last season. He helped Michael Penix and Washington’s offense become one of the nation’s most explosive groups.

Dahlen was a quarterback at Utah and Southern Utah before starting his coaching career.
He started as a co-offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator at Sandy (Utah) High School in 2011. Dahlen was an assistant quarterback coach at Southern Utah from 2013 and 2014. He was a guest coach for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League in 2015 while serving at the College of Idaho, Boise State University, Black Hills State University, and Fresno State — coaching quarterbacks, wide receivers, and calling offenses. It will be interesting to see how he works out at Alabama.
