Ja’Michael Jones is still very interested in Alabama football after the many coaching changes in Tuscaloosa.

Jones is a product of Pike Road High School in Alabama, and he is a 2026 recruit. He is only a sophomore, but his offer list is one some seniors would do anything to have. He holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Tennessee and several other programs.
The in-state product feels his continued interest in Alabama has a lot to do with the Tide keeping Robert Gillespie as their running back coach.
“The relationship is very strong because ever since day one, he’s been having a real good relationship,” said Jones
Jones feels the new Alabama staff has a chip on his shoulder.
“I just really feel like everybody is trying to doubt them, but I feel like they got a lot to prove this upcoming season,” Jones said.
Ole Miss, Tennessee, UCF and Oregon are just some of the other programs showing a lot of interest in Jones early.
At 5-foot-11 and 192 pounds, Jones runs the football with patience and an explosive burst. He feels his ability to break tackles is among his biggest strengths of the moment, but he wants to get faster, more explosive and become a better route runner.

Easy to see why the 2026 RB already holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and several others.
