The Massachusetts product said he was taken back by his offer from the Tide.
“I was amazed,” Watts said. “I grew up watching college football, and I think to most young boys, Alabama is the epitome of college football.”
Kapilovic and Watts have a previous relationship, and the junior feels the fact Alabama is hiring Kapilovic points to him being a great coach.
“If he’s getting hired as Alabama’s offensive line coach then he is the best of the best,” said Watts.
At 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, Watts is a physical offensive lineman, who continue to drive through blocks through the duration of a play. He can also get out and cover ground when called upon to pull to lead block for ball carriers.
“My pass protection, my athleticism, my ability to finish blocks on the run game and my footwork,” Watts answered when asked about the strengths of his game.
