Xavier Griffin earned a long-awaited Alabama offer this week.
Griffin attends Gainesville High School in Georgia. He is currently considered a four-star recruit by multiple recruiting sites. The sophomore holds 15 college football offers, including offers from Georgia, Ohio State USC and others.
Alabama is the latest program to offer Griffin, and an offer from the Crimson Tide is one he has wanted for a long time.
“It feels amazing,” Griffin told Touchdown Alabama. “I’ve always dreamed of it since I was little.”
Griffin currently attends Gainesville High School, but he is a native of the state of Alabama. He grew up in Huntsville.
“I’ve always watched them growing up, and I’ve always been an Alabama fan,” Griffin said. “Seeing it through the Nick Saban era was really special, and I know all the talent they’ve produced through the years. I believe they will continue to do that”
Griffin is a 6-foot-4 Edge with a quick twitch, who can play sideline to sideline. He feels his ability to get off blocks and close space are strengths of his game.
