Alabama football’s freshman defensive back, Red Morgan is earning the respect of the Crimson Tide’s veteran defensive back, Malachi Moore.
Morgan signed with Alabama as a 2024 four-star prospect out of Central Phenix City High School in Alabama. He enrolled as an early enrollee and participated in bowl prep with the Crimson Tide in December.
Moore was asked which freshman wowed him so far, and one name came to his attention.
“I would say Red Morgan,” Moore said. “He is definitely really, really athletic, and it’s just crazy to see how athletic he is. Once he gets the stuff down of knowing how to drop and all the coaches and the concepts and the nuances of college football, I think he’s gonna be a great player for us.”

Morgan is listed at 6-foot and 175 pounds on Alabama’s 2024 football roster.
The Alabama native was evaluated as one of the top safety prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. He flew around the field for the Red Devils en route to a class 7A State Championship with his hard-nosed playing style to go along with his head-turning closing speed.
